How to use Word Frequency Counter

A closer look
The browser identifies word-like pieces and counts how often each occurs. Percentages divide a word’s count by the total word count, including common words such as ‘the’ and ‘and’. Punctuation is not a word, while numeric word-like pieces can be included. The table shows up to 200 entries at once; the copied and downloaded report includes every entry.
A practical example
In red blue red, red appears twice and accounts for about 66.67% of the three words. Use counts to spot repetition while reviewing a draft.
A useful tip
Frequent words are not automatically a problem. Review repeated wording in context rather than removing useful words just because they rank highly.

By default, yes. Turn on Distinguish capital letters to count them separately.
Are running and run combined?
No. This counter groups matching words, not grammatical forms or meanings.
