How to use Random Color Generator
- Choose how many colors you want and select Generate.
- Compare the swatches and copy a HEX, RGB, or HSL value.
- Keep favorite colors using their checkboxes, then generate again to replace only the unlocked colors.
A closer look
Each generated color comes from the 24-bit RGB color space. HEX and RGB describe the same channel values exactly; HSL is a convenient hue, saturation, and lightness representation rounded to whole units. Text labels are displayed outside the swatches on the existing light interface so random dark or bright colors do not hide the controls. A palette is a collection of ideas, not a guarantee of suitable contrast between its colors.
A practical example
Generate a palette, lock a swatch you like, then regenerate the unlocked colors. Copy its HEX value for CSS and check contrast in the final layout.
A useful tip
A locked color stays in place when you regenerate. Changing the requested count clears the palette and its locks so you can start a different-sized set.
