A closer look
A barcode turns a value into a pattern of dark bars and white spaces. This tool supports CODE128 for printable English letters, numbers and symbols; CODE39 for its uppercase character set; and EAN-13 and UPC-A for complete numeric codes. Retail formats require the correct final check digit, and leading zeros are preserved. Generating an image does not register, assign, or verify ownership of a retail identifier. Use the number and format supplied by your own inventory or product-number system.
A practical example
For an internal label such as BOX-123, choose CODE128 and preview the bars. EAN-13 instead needs a complete 13-digit identifier with a valid check digit.
A useful tip
Keep the white margins, use good print contrast, and avoid stretching the image. A long value makes a wide barcode. A correct encoding does not guarantee every printer and scanner combination will read a small label.

Why was my EAN or UPC rejected?
EAN-13 needs 13 digits and UPC-A needs 12, including a valid check digit. This tool rejects missing or incorrect check digits instead of silently changing your identifier.
Which file should I download?
SVG stays sharp when scaled proportionally. PNG uses the full pixel dimensions shown above the preview. Both use black bars on a white background; the on-screen preview may scroll when wide.
